Jason Kenney and Amnesty International Canada have been going back and forth lately over the government’s push to deport people linked to crimes against humanity.

The government has already arrested six of the 30 men whose identities were published, and found one is no longer living in Canada. Canada Border Services Agency has deported three of the men arrested, the most recent on Thursday.

Ottawa family livid over AWOL tenant

Landlords of a south Ottawa rental property say damage that occurred during a time the property was leased to a tenant from Saudi-Arabia has cost them $70,000.
The property, which is on San Remo Private off Riverside Drive, was heavily damaged during the tenant’s 2007 vacation when pipes burst during a record-setting cold snap.
The family recalls the disaster when they first walked inside.
“I can imagine it in front of me, it was a complete disaster,” said Salma Hefzy, who showed CBC News photos of a flooded basement and extensive water damage in the walls and ceiling.
Hefzy, who owns the home with her son Mohamed Migahed, said their insurance company wouldn’t provide coverage.

Toronto police issued a warning Thursday about a series of sexual assaults in the Yonge and Finch area.

Police say one person may have committed as many as six assaults in the neighbourhood over the last few months.

They’ve released a composite sketch of their suspect.
