Another relative has been charged in the 2009 slaying of Brampton mother Poonam Litt.
Skinder Punia, 42, the victim’s brother-in-law, faces a charge of accessory after the fact to murder, Peel police announced Wednesday.
His arrest comes more than a month after Mr. Punia’s wife, Mandeep Punia, was charged with second-degree murder in the crime and the victim’s father-in-law, Kulwant Singh Litt, was accused of being an accessory after the fact.

Police found Ms. Litt’s skeletal remains in February after the 27-year-old woman disappeared three years earlier, leaving behind a young daughter.
Investigators allege Ms. Punia killed Ms. Litt on Feb. 4, 2009, a day before the victim failed to report for work at a local dentist’s office.
