TORONTO – Two men and a boy, 16, are accused in the brutal gang rape of a young teenage girl in east-end Toronto.
Toronto Police say officers found the 14-year-old victim just after midnight Friday when they responded to “an unknown trouble” call.
“It was very violent,” Const. Wendy Drummond said Monday of the gang sexual assault.
It’s alleged the girl made arrangements to “meet up” with a teenage boy she knew afor 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
When the girl arrived, the boy was in the company of two older men, who were unknown to her, Drummond said.
She said all four then went to a home.
While there, it’s alleged the trio “repeatedly” sexually assaulted the girl.
Police say three suspects were identified with help from community members.
Richard Wayner, 23, Michael Pottle, 22, and a 16-year-old boy, who can’t be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, were taken into custody.
The three Toronto residents are charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, gang sexual assault, overcome resistance, choking, threatening death and forcible confinement.
