Man arrested in connection to bank robberies over two-year period

A man has been arrested in connection to a five GTA bank robberies that took place over a two-year period.

During several instances from 201 to this year, a man wearing a ski mask robbed tellers from different banks in the city on gunpoint, police said.

In one case, the man allegedly fired a shot into a bank’s ceiling and immediately fled the scene. There were no reported injuries.

Minh Hoang Tran, 29, who has no fixed address, is facing 11 charges including robbery while armed with firearm and disguise with intent.
